Site devoted to beginner golfers?
I’ve hit the links a dozen times or so, and have really taken a fancy to golfing. My goal is to break 100 in 6 months. However, i am still a beginner. I tend to top the ball, slightly mis-hit, and my swing isn’t too fluid
before i spend the money on professional tutelage, I would like to learn a few swing basics about set up/ swinging in a plane, stop slicing, etc. Basically working from the ground up.
My question is: Are there any sites on the WWW that are devoted to beginner golfers, or that offer tutorials to beginner golfers? Sites with video tutorials? I figure if i get some basics down, it will give me an advantage going into my lessons, saving me money by not using so much of the instructor’s time.

Like you I am new to the game.The book that was most suggested was Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons.You can purchase this at Barnes
and Noble for about 12.00 and yes this is still in print.
